Meeting Notes, Nov. 5 EFN Repack
Cornucopia solo ex servtium*.
*Abundance only from service.
What a great day at EFN, Emergency Food Network, today. We had about 20 Rotarians and 5 guests making a difference in the community today. People came at different times but there were several Rotarians there the entire time.
How much did we pack? We packed 7,205 pounds of dried ingredients for soup (lentils, peas, beans, etc.) Charlie wanted to continue for a couple more hours but the rest of us were ready to call it a day. I know several of you have been to EFN several times but it was a first for a few of our members. Hopefully they will say yes next time we are at EFN. It is great having a hands on activity that directly impacts our community.
Thank you Dave, Ken, Bonnie, Marilee, and General Bill for bringing a guest and having them take part in this experience. The more the merrier. General Bill's assistant Karen is a true task master. She kept Randy on his toes.
Thank you to Tom and Ellie for coordinating with Helen and her team to make it a successful event. As always Helen your team of employees made the whole experience wonderful. A big thank you to them especially our "foreman".
Thank you Ellie for making sure lunch was available to those who were looking forward to their Carr's Wednesday lunch.
Thanks everyone. I enjoyed putting Service Above Self with you today.
