November 14th Meeting Highlights!

President-Elect Ellie Carr honchoed today's meeting, as President Heidi was City Attorneying. P-E Ellie rose to the occasion, even leading the Pledge of Allegiance!

We're all keeping Debbie Billingsley in our thoughts for a quick recovery!

Tacoma 8 Rotarian Fred Moisio joined us today...Hi, Fred! Other visiting Rotarians were Jim Sharp (Lakewood) and Tapei's Own George Lin, who brought a cornucopia of Taiwanese Treats for us! (George also brought his cousin, Mai.)

Karl Roth also brought West Pierce Fire Assistant Chief Hallie McCurdy as his guest; we're hoping to see a LOT more of her in the coming months! By the way, Paul Webb retracted his inaccurate rumor that Karl was leaving our club...Whew!!

Joyce Oubre briefed the Club on our Holiday Projects: We're joining West Pierce Fire for Christmas shopping on Sunday, December 2nd, Wrapping Gifts on Wednesday, December 12th, at the West Pierce Firefighters Union Hall from 12:00 - 1:30 (Carr's will be bringing box lunches for $10 ea). Slight change to the plan for Holiday Baskets: Stay Tuned for more info!

General Ed fined as many people as possible, to include visiting Rotarians.

Today's Program was a Club Assembly/Committee Meeting Day. Lots of productive planning and information sharing went on!

Prez-Elect Ellie "called an audible at the line of scrimmage", having the weekly raffle drawing prior to breaking up into teams. Paul Webb had the winning ticket, and to further increase his jackpot chances Paul asked George "Mr. Lucky" Lin to select the playing card for him. George drew a joker, which didn't win the $250 jackpot, but did net Paul a cool $20!

Next week's program: Bob Riler, Pierce County Office of Aging and Disabilities, will outline available senior support services.

AND FINALLY...
It pays to check references and customer reviews BEFORE choosing a tattoo artist!
